Amr Mohyeldin
Founder of ChemEngPro | Process Engineer | Engineering Educator
I’m a process engineer with over 8 years of experience designing, commissioning, and operating pilot plants—and helping scale technologies from lab to demonstration scale. I've worked across clean-tech, petrochemical, pulp and paper, and advanced materials industries, taking on roles such as process discipline lead, project engineer with many project management functions, commissioning lead, and operations lead.
I graduated from one of the top universities in the world, top 10% of my class at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. But academic success alone doesn’t make a great engineer. What shaped me most were strong mentors, hands-on challenges, and lessons learned in the field.
That’s why I founded ChemEngPro—to share this kind of practical engineering knowledge I wish I had early in my career. My courses focus on real-world application, not just theory. They’re rooted in firsthand experience, centered on the kinds of challenges engineers face every day—supported by the theory needed to apply them effectively.
If you're looking to sharpen your engineering skills and learn how to approach problems like a practicing engineer—not just solve textbook equations—you’re in the right place.

The projects below highlight my involvement across diverse process systems, from basic engineering through commissioning and operations. This work is where I developed hands-on experience in building and assembling pilot plants, including skid fabrication, piping, and integration of various unit operations such as vessels, pumps, and heat exchangers.

Why ChemEngPro?Â
Â
Throughout my engineering journey, I’ve faced challenges that textbooks don’t prepare you for. I created ChemEngPro to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world engineering practice. Here, I share the tools, insights, and lessons I’ve used in the field—organized into structured, practical courses designed to help you build the skills and confidence needed to grow in your engineering career.
